Most infield soils available today are mined from the ground and screened off to a certain size, then sold as infield soil regardless of its makeup. In other words, it is what it is. With DuraEdge™ that’s only the beginning. After harvesting the raw materials they are painstakingly tested. With test results in hand, a computer-guided blending process adjusts for precise results. The DuraMixer blending plant mixes sand and clay at specified ratios. The result is a properly balanced engineered infield soils at various levels with the quality preferred by groundskeepers, coaches and players.

duraedge™ classic

  • Lower silt to clay ratio enables a firm playing surface

  • Increased clay content for a “tighter” playing surface without drastically increasing maintenance

  • Highest clay content, “tightest” of the DuraEdge Infield Soils

  • Professional blend best suited for minor and major league fields along with Division I college and university infields with high level maintenance
  • Blend of: 60% Sand, 18% Silt and 22% Clay

Select from three levels of DuraEdge™ engineered infield soils. Each DuraEdge soil maintains its Silt-to-Clay Ratio (SCR) within an optimum range of 0.5 and 1.0 to avoid problems with excessive dust when dry and greasy or unstable surfaces when wet like most harvested infield soils. Distribution of the various sizes of sand is strictly monitored and controlled so the infield soil will have the proper structural stability. Contact us for pricing.
